“Whoop, whoop, what, what, why you all in my ear, talking a whole lot a s**t that I ain’t trying to hear?” Ludacris 2004
I’ll tell you why Ludacris, you grumpy b*****d – because we Crows are happy. We’re all up in your ear because the film that we started shooting back in early 2011 is finally off the back burner and is sizzling away in our faces.
Girl in the Woods was a co-production with the fantastic 3:15 Films. It was written and co-directed by BAFTA winning screenwriter Alex Rose (with our own Matt Rozier being the other ‘co’) and co-produced by the wonderfully talented and hard-working Lynne Hames (our own Peter Wilkinson being the other ‘co’).
An incredibly atmospheric short thriller, Girl in the Woods combines the acting talents of Tom Bennet (star of Channel 4′s awesome show ‘Phoneshop’), Aria Prasad (Curfew – Channel 4, Sweet Cider – Arcola Theatre), Robert Atiko (Sexy Beast, Tomb Raider), and Hilary Greatorex (Waterloo Road, Eastenders, Corrie).
There is a website where you can find out more about the film, how it was made, who was involved, and why, generally speaking, we at Blind Crow are so darned excited about the whole thing – give it a look: http://www.girlinthewoods.com
And we have one last thing to say….there’ll be an exciting announcement concerning Girl in the Woods and that long hard slog, the festival circuit, coming soon – so keep you eyes peeled boys and girls.
Good times and all of that.
