NARRATIVE DRAMA

MORE INFO

Our official shorts have included ‘Cold Shoulder’, BAFTA long listed ‘Girl in the Woods’ and our most recent thriller, ‘Saving Grace’  but we don’t just make flicks for ourselves – we love collaboration too.  We’ve provided services for feature films, web series, docu-dramas et al.  Wherever there’s a story to be told we want to be the guys to tell it. Whether you need a director, a cinematographer, an editor, a colourist or a sound man if you’ve an interesting project and you’re looking for help – get in touch!

PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS

MORE INFO

Our films have been used by some of the biggest companies in the UK to promote their brand, from Museums to Arts organisations – we know what grabs your average web surfer’s attention – innovation.  We’re not a cookie-cutter film company, churning out another video, we think like an ad agency; genuinely looking to find that new fresh, exciting idea.  We will help tell your story goddarnit, and find your audience!

DOCUMENTARY & MAKING OF

MORE INFO

The Crows have been hired by some of the biggest organisations in the UK to create documentary content destined for the web. Shooting on cutting edge HDSLR technology we’re able to move lightning fast, making sure that no moment is missed. We’re expert interviewers and are able to quickly and easily put our subjects at ease. However, by regularly working in small, one or two man teams  we are discrete- making us easy to ignore, so we’re perfect for behind the scenes or backstage shoots. We’re always on the look out for fresh ideas, and for interesting ways to engage audiences – if you’ve got a subject that you’d like us to explore through film, get in touch. We’d love to hear more!

THEATRE TRAILERS

MORE INFO

We’ve been making theatre trailers since 2010 and have worked with some of the biggest theatres in the country, our trailers have been seen by millions on BBC and ITV news, have been used to launch the Financial Times Arts Online website, have received tens of thousands of hits and we’re used by the same companies time and time again.  We’re highly flexible, able to work within a tight budget and most importantly, we’re ex-theatre people so we bring a specialist knowledge to the table.

MUSIC VIDEO & INTERVIEWS

MORE INFO

Whether you’re a band looking to put together a music video, a musician looking for recording session footage, or a DJ looking to be interviewed on his latest solo album,  we bring with us a wealth of experience in capturing not just your look and your sound, but your energy.  Your footage should match your style, and we love finding out what that is, what makes you tick, what makes you different, then using images to support the great sounds you’re already making.

  TO DO…

WORK

ON WHAT YOU LOVE

We

WORK

as a team

As jam attracts wasps and cheap alcohol attracts holidaymakers, we’ve found that being a friendly, hard working company attracts similarly like-minded folk.  Here’s a few of the friendly chewing gum peeps that over the years got stuck to our soles…

Matt Rozier

Producer, Director, DP, Editor
Matt worked for a decade as an actor whilst juggling work as a theatre director before finally making the leap behind the camera.  Matt has directed and DP’d over 50 projects, including a low budget feature, the first episode of a web series, a handful of short films (one of which was long listed for a BAFTA) and over 40 films for Blind Crow.  Matt is a happy soul, who thinks too much and sleeps too little.

Peter Wilkinson

Producer, Writer, Editor, Camera
Peter trained as an actor before moving into writing and then into all sorts upon starting up Blind Crow Pictures with Matt. Over the last few years he has worked on around 40 films (promotional and the occasional short narrative) in a range of roles – shooting, editing, sound recording, writing, producing etc He is also an associate lecturer in Performing Arts at Teesside University.

Gregg Houston

Sound and Additional Camera
gregg Houston is one of the friendlist fellows you could meet.  An expert in all things music video related, Gregg runs the most excellent site Babysweetsessions and has recently work with Deap Vally, Two Door Cinema Club, The Cast of Cheers, Gotye, Daughter, Ben Howard, Kowalski, Nathaniel Rateliff, Bing and plenty others.  Gregg is from Bangor and was born in a beanie.

Jonathan Rose

Sound and Additional Camera
JON TALKS TOO MUCH, HIS JOKES ARE ENDLESS AND ALSO NOT FUNNY. HE LIKES TO TALK OVER TAKES AND TRIES HIS BEST TO GET HIS BOOM IN EVERY FRAME. HE KICKS THE ‘STICKS’ EVERY 6 SECONDS. JON IS A FREELANCE SOUND RECORDIST AND BEGAN WORK IN 1999. EXPERIENCE INCLUDES WORK FOR GMTV, THE BBC AND VARIOUS DOCUMENTARIES. JON IS ALSO A SEASONED PHOTOGRAPHER SHOOTING FOR OBSERVER LIFE, EMI EVENTS, VCI, L’OREAL, RAPIDO TV AND HEAT.
The Family
Blind Crow also works with a whole bunch of other super friendly folks.  From award winning screenwriters, and  animators, brain popping musicians and….and…..and (fill in your own superlative) artists – the Blind Crow family is big.  Huge shout out to our regular collaborators; the likes of Kowalski musical genius Paddy Conn, BAFTA award winning screenwriter Mr Alex Rose, sound mixing extraordinaire Jose Pereira, to the lovely Lynne H, to Mr Gabe, top man Martin, and jovial Jackie, the luscious Lauren J, to all our amazing actors and to anyone else we may have missed!

Whenever the project requires it, you can be sure that we’ve got an A game team ready to hit the ball out of the park.
